Clive A Burden
Founded by the late Clive A. Burden in 1966, we sell antique maps, prints and books. We are specialist suppliers to the trade world wide and buy individual items, or large collections. Our maps cover the period from incunabula (pre-1500) to the late 1800s. Areas of particular focus are the UK and North America. We also carry both topographical and decorative prints including botanical, bird and other natural history in addition to Vanity Fair caricatures. Books include atlases, illustrated and colour plate works.
Philip D. Burden joined his father in the business in 1979. He wrote and published in 1996 The Mapping of North America.
Ian F. Williams joined the business in 1993. His specialist area is the UK topographical market and travels the USA and Europe.
Gill Webb worked as Clive A. Burden's secretary in his early days in industry with BOC. Joined him in the business in 1974.
